On Christmas Eve, President Donald Trump sent out Christmas wishes to all Americans, singling out “radical leftist scum” as recipients.
Trump's generous holiday greeting included a message aimed at those the president says support his agenda.
His post “Truth in Social Network” reads:
Merry Christmas to everyone, including the radical leftist scum who are doing everything they can to destroy our country and failing. We no longer have open borders, men in women's sports, transgender people for everyone, or lax law enforcement. What we have is a record stock market and 401K, the lowest crime rates in decades, no inflation, and yesterday's GDP of 4.3, two points higher than expected. Tariffs have given us trillions of dollars of growth and prosperity, and the strongest national security we've ever had. We are respected again, perhaps more than ever before. God bless America!!! President of JT
The latest in a long line of achievements the president has touted is 4.3 percent GDP growth reported Tuesday, far exceeding economists' expectations and the most robust growth since the economy was still recovering from the pandemic. But the year's long list of achievements has given Trump plenty to celebrate as Christmas approaches.
Trump's message followed a commanding performance during which he took calls from children and families tracking Santa Claus through NORAD, during which an energetic Trump showed off his gleeful patriarchal side by making several jokes to the amusement of children and spectators.
To one child who asked Trump to provide a stocking without coal, he responded: “You mean 'clean, beautiful coal.'”
“Coal is clean and beautiful, please remember that at all costs,” Trump added, chuckling.
After taking calls from children and their families, Trump and first lady Melania Trump were scheduled to speak with service members and their families.
