President Trump announced Friday that the renovations have been completed. Lincoln Bedroom Bathroom at the White House, revealing the revamped space in a series of posts on Truth Social.

The bathroom, which was last updated in the 1940s with green tiles, has been reimagined with black and white marble. look at the president described as more appropriate for the Lincoln era.

“I renovated Lincoln's bathroom in White House. It was renovated in the 1940s with green Art Deco tiles that were completely inappropriate for the Lincoln era,” Trump wrote Friday in Truth Social.

Trump added: “I made it out of black and white polished sculpted marble. It was very appropriate for the time of Abraham Lincoln and, in fact, may have been the marble that was there originally!”

The president shared several photos of the renovation on Truth Social, which showed off the bathroom's marble walls and gold fixtures.

“The renovated Lincoln bathroom in the White House is polished, sculptural marble!” Trump stated this in one of his posts.

The office and den, once used by America's 16th president Abraham Lincoln, have been known as the Lincoln Bedroom since 1945, when President Harry S. Truman ordered Lincoln-era furniture to be placed there, according to the White House Historical Association.

The room is located in the southeast corner of the second floor of the White House.

The bathroom renovation follows Trump's recent announcement that construction crews have begun demolishing part of the East Wing to make way for the privately funded White House Ballroom. This project has been in development for several months.

Ballroom estimated at $250 million and will be financed jointly by Trump and private donors.

“The White House is currently unable to host major events honoring world leaders in other countries without requiring a large, unsightly tent approximately 100 yards from the main building entrance,” White House press secretary Caroline Leavitt said during a July 31 briefing.
