Trump Surging ICE Agents to Minneapolis–Saint Paul

President Donald Trump's Department of Homeland Security (DHS) is reportedly sending Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents to Minnesota's Twin Cities as fraud and abuse of taxpayer programs continues to surface among the region's huge population of Somali refugees.

CBS News exclusively reported Monday that DHS is sending nearly 2,000 federal agents to Minneapolis-St. Paul to “control a 30-day surge of operations in the Twin Cities area that will make the region the first major target of the Trump administration's expanded crackdown on immigration in the new year,” officials said.

CBS News reported:

Agents drawn from Homeland Security Investigations are expected to investigate suspected fraud.based on the results of an inspection of dozens of properties in the Minneapolis area conducted last month. [Emphasis added]

Several officials told CBS News that the overall federal presence could eventually become even larger.with approximately 600 HSI agents and up to 1,500 ICE ERO officers moving throughout the Minneapolis area during the month-long deployment. [Emphasis added]

On Monday, Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz (D) announced He is dropping out of the state's governor's race this year as a fraud scandal in which Somali refugees are accused of stealing billions of dollars from a taxpayer-funded program meant to feed poor children grows even worse.

Late last month, Attorney General Pam Bondi said So far, 85 Somali migrants have been charged in the Minnesota fraud scandal, with 60 already convicted.

The scandal prompted citizen journalists reveal alleged fraud among Somali migrants in Ohio, Maine, Pennsylvania, Washington, and Minnesota, where such migrants opened daycare centers for the purported sole purpose of receiving federal taxpayer money, despite the fact that they did not have children.

Trump recently estimated that Somali refugees allegedly stole several $19 billion into public funds of Minnesota taxpayers, thanks to a massive fraud scheme that allegedly funded luxury holidays and luxury cars.
