Trump says Saudis think Americans are ‘crazy’ over transgender athletes

President Donald Trump The US-Saudi Investment Forum in Washington on Wednesday said people in Saudi Arabia think Americans are “crazy” for advocating for transgender athletes in women's sports.

At the forum at the Kennedy Center, Trump described his shock as he watched the congressman fight for biological men playing women's sports and explained a situation where a biological man broke the law. Women's weightlifting record.

“This man was 119 pounds taller than the female champion, who was a phenomenal champion,” Trump said. “Beat her by 119, and before he switched he was an average lifter. A lot of Saudis are sitting here saying, “What the hell is he talking about, the transition?”

He went on to say that, unlike the US, the Saudis “don't do a lot of transition.”

“The Saudis ask, 'What is he talking about?' – said Trump. “They say, 'What do you mean women play against men?' No, that doesn’t happen, does it?” Yes, that's true. These people are crazy.”

Group 130 Democrats in Congress recently filed an amicus brief in the Supreme Court urging the justices to rule in favor of Becky Pepper-Jackson, a West Virginia trans teen who successfully challenged a state law barring biological males from competing in women's sports, and Lindsey Hecox, who successfully challenged an Idaho law allowing the Boise State women's cross-country team to compete.
