President Donald Trump It was revealed on Wednesday how soon an Arc de Triomphe-style monument will be built in the nation's capital to commemorate America's 250th birthday in 2026.
Trump on Wednesday said construction on the monument, nicknamed the “Trump Arch,” would begin “sometime in the next two months.” report from Politico.
“It hasn't started yet. It will start sometime in the next two months. It's going to be great. Everybody's going to love it,” Trump reportedly told the publication during a phone call from Mar-a-Lago in Palm Beach, Florida. “They like the ballroom too. But they like the Arc de Triomphe.”

The exact location of the new landmark has not yet been confirmed, although the report notes that it could be near the Lincoln Monument.
The White House has not yet disclosed details about the construction timeline, construction cost, amount of financing and who is leading the project.
In December 2020, Trump signed Public Law 116-217, allowing National Women's Suffrage Monument will be built on federal land in Washington, D.C., leading to the subsequent signing of the Women's Suffrage National Monument Site Act during former President Joe Biden's final week in office.

The Women's Suffrage National Monument Fund (WSNMF) announced Dec. 4 that it has received final and unanimous approval from the National Capital Planning Commission for a permanent two-and-a-half-acre site on the National Mall at Constitution Gardens, according to the foundation's website.
Foundation leaders noted that the women's suffrage monument went through a “multi-step and rigorous review process,” including receiving approval from the National Capital Memorial Advisory Commission and the Commission of Fine Arts.
The foundation also completed a public comment period with the National Park Service as part of its public review process, according to its website.
It is unclear whether Trump's new proposed monument has received the same approval.
The National Women's Suffrage Monument will be located at the intersection of 19th Street and Constitution Avenue NW, and the next phase of the project will focus on creative development and design.

The last major monument built on the National Mall was the Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial, which was completed in 2011.
The granite memorial was inspired by a line from the Royal Cathedral. “I have a dream” speech given nearby on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial during the March on Washington for Jobs and Freedom in 1963.
