Travis Kelce can't keep up with his indie mumblecore. During power on Late Night with Seth Meyers October 8, Taylor Swift regaled audiences with the story of her loving fiancé's greatest Eras Tour faux pas: not knowing what Greta Gerwig looked like. In London on the second night of the tour, the celebrity crowd included not only Swift's then-boyfriend, but also Tom Cruise, Hugh Grant, Ashton Kutcher, Mila Kunis and Greta Gerwig. “I was like, 'I have to let you know, your favorite director is in the tent,'” Swift said. “He loves Greta Gerwig.” We bet Kelsey cried like a baby when Laurie Metcalf drove the car. Lady Bird. After the show, Swift asked Kelsey if he approached Gerwig and told her what a big fan he was. Instead, Kelsey admitted, “I think I told an annoying joke that she's heard too many times.” Barbie fever, was: “I'm just Ken too,” pointing to Swift on stage. This is acceptable for small talk, but Gerwig responded with only a slight smile.
Apparently, he revealed some gossip: Gerwig was very close to Hugh Grant, dancing together all night. Meanwhile, Kelsey spent the entire night chatting with some random guy. “I see videos online of Travis dancing with Greta all night like they're best friends,” Swift said. “And I was like, 'Travis, here's a video of you and Greta, and it looks like she thought the joke was funny.' And he says, “Oh, that’s not Greta.” It turns out he told the joke to Hugh Grant's wife, Anna Eberstein, who smiled politely back because she wasn't the film's director. Barbie. All of this could have been avoided if Travis Kelce had just listened to Letterboxd and watched Francis Ha. He'll love it when she monologues about seeing someone you love at a party.
