Toronto police probing Christmas Eve storefront collision that left one dead – Winnipeg Free Press

TORONTO — Toronto police have released more information about a Christmas Eve storefront collision that left one person dead and others injured.

Police say officers responded to the collision shortly before 2:30 p.m. Wednesday in the area of ​​Dufferin Street and Finch Avenue West.

They say a 93-year-old man driving a Nissan Murano entered the square but for unknown reasons lost control and crashed into the front of the store.

Police say the driver hit five people inside the store, killing a 67-year-old man. Two women were taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, while three others suffered minor injuries.

The driver and passenger were also taken to hospital with minor injuries.

Police are continuing to investigate and are asking anyone who may have heard or seen anything, or who has dashcam footage of the collision, to contact investigators.
