After the celebration another successful season at the beginning of November, Toronto International Music Video Festival announced the winners of this year's event.
Hosting: InvisibleThe 2025 festival brought together filmmakers and artists from around the world, presenting work representing more than fifty countries and every continent. Continuing to strengthen its position as a key platform for emerging and established music video creators, TIMVF has also expanded its awards lineup this year with the introduction of new categories for Best Student Music Video, Best Choreography and Best Canadian Music Video.
This year's winners include Soap&Skin with Best Music Video and Best Cinematography for “Girl Loves Me.” bbno$ also won two awards for Best Canadian Music Video and Best Artist Performance for “two”, the latter going to Exclaim!, as well as Kohani for Best Student Music Video for “Antywolnosó”.
Foster the People was awarded Best Director for Lost in Space, ÁSDÍS won Best Editing for Flashback, Ava Della Pietra won Best Choreography for Puppet, and Nice won the Audience Award for Fox Revett. A complete list of winners can be found at TIMVF website.
“TIMVF’s heart has always been its community, and 2025 proved that more than ever,” festival director Mac Downey shared in a press release. “Seeing our first year participants return and welcome new authors to the festival for the first time has made this a truly memorable year.”
He continued: “One of the most inspiring parts of TIMVF 2025 was creating a space where students could connect with industry thought leaders in a friendly and accessible environment. It’s in these conversations that the next generation of creators begins to emerge.”
