The Toronto Argonauts have signed Canadian offensive lineman Gavin Cokes and American wide receiver. Tyler Kamann.
Cokes was a fourth-round pick in the 2025 CFL Draft out of the University of British Columbia. A victim of the draft process, Winnipeg native Man. did not sign with the Argonauts, opting instead to return to U Sports with the Thunderbirds. The six-foot-four, 315-pound blocker played in 42 collegiate games.
Kahmann spent time on Toronto's practice squad in 2025 but did not see any regular-season action. The six-foot-three, 206-pound target played three collegiate seasons at Emporia State University, a Division II program based in Kentucky, where he caught 248 passes for 3,258 yards and 49 touchdowns in 35 games. He participated in training camp with the Indianapolis Colts in 2025, but was released after final roster cuts.
In 2025, the Toronto Argonauts finished third in the East Division standings with a 5–13 record, missing the playoffs for the first time since 2019. Franchise quarterback Chad Kelly was unable to play the entire season due to a broken leg he suffered in the Eastern final last year, giving way to Nick Arbuckle, who threw for 4,370 yards, 26 touchdowns and 15 interceptions to be named by the team. The Argonauts ranked seventh in net offense, sixth in net defense and seventh in turnover differential of minus-eight. The club's leading rusher was Spencer Brown with 314 yards, the leading receiver was Dejon Brissett with 907 yards, and the leading tackler was Cameron Judge with 79 tackles. Toronto ranked ninth in attendance with an average attendance of 15,109, down 0.1 percent from the previous year.
