In their home finale for the 2025 season, and their last home game until the next summer, the Argonauts in Toronto fell by 47-29 on Hamilton-Tigro cows in front of 19,846 fans on Saturday afternoon.

Here are my thoughts about the game.

Growing pain for QB Toronto

When Nick Arbakl went down early with the grass of his right hand, Jarrett Douge was involved in the action to lead the Argonauts. While he showed several bright spots, having completed 34 out of 49 passes for 323 yards and two landings, he also threw four interceptions. This painful statistics added only salt to the wound of another loss of argonauts.

Doege will probably become the starter of the Argonauts until the end of the 2025 season. At this moment, it is about playing for himself and the pride of his team. Nevertheless, he will encounter two teams fighting for providing their places of the play -off, and the argonauts can still play in the spoiler.

“I think that when you do not go to the playoffs, you really play for your work,” Douge said after the game.

“Every week you play for your work, but then you really see who wants to become part of the team, Who wants to save their work, and who wants to go there without having anything you can play for. ”

Problems Protection Again Argonauts Plague

Once again, the line of offensive did little to support Doege.

Despite the fact that he made fewer fines than last week, the unit still made it difficult for their defenders in his pocket, which allowed nine bags this afternoon. The poor efficiency of this offensive line in 2025 cannot be reassessed, and clearly a serious review is needed to have a chance of success in 2026.

A lonely bright spot appeared when Peter Nicastro grabbed Doege after the bag and managed to get a few yards before passing it on Jake Herlow.

“Just trying to get as many yards as possible,” said Nicastro about the play.Obviously, I'm not used to having a ball in my hand.

Cut off like a turkey for thanksgiving

Thanksgiving may be another week later, but the defense of Hamilton Tigra-Kats did not lose time to recruit the Argonauts, like a festive turkey. They tirelessly exploited the vulnerable protection of Toronto early and often, scoring two long landings that set the tone for the game.

Bo Levy Mitchell dominated the air, throwing 320 yards and four landings, including key ties with Kenny Lowler, who caught two majorors. This crushing defensive execution actually completed hopes for the play -off of the Argonauts and left fans with a bitter taste after what was supposed to be an unforgettable home finale.

Despite the valiant efforts to return to Toronto in the third quarter, visiting tiger boats retained control and strengthened their status in the upper part of the eastern division.

Trauma at the end of the Arbuckle season

At the first offensive of the team, Nick Arbakl was fired and spoiled the ball. He later left the game and held the rest of the competition aside in the sling. After the game, it turned out that Arbuckle requires additional testing, effectively ending its season with the remaining two games. The team is also officially expelled from the play -off 2025.

“We do not know exactly what it is. He must make some image, ”the head coach Ryan Dinviddy told me.

“It seems that his season is likely to end. YouUnfortunately, this happened so early. I feel to Nick. He tried to play at an early stageIN And we lose it there. IIt’s difficult, but I am proud of Nick's performance throughout the season. ”

Argonauts and Bills are united to inspire youth football

Argonauts celebrated their new partnership with Buffalo Buffalo in NFL on Saturday with an event called “Future Football.” This initiative is aimed at raising sports in GTA and South Ontario, with the Hall of Glory of Professional Football and the legend of Bills Jim Kelly, along with Argonauts and the legend of Coll Dag Fli.

This partnership benefits both organizations, expanding the coverage of accounts to the new market for the development of the Mafia of Accounts, while at the same time giving argonauts to increase the exposition in the GTA. Together they hope to attract more fans and develop football at the level of youth.

Mlsee you next summer

With the home season of Argonauts 2025 and hopes for the play -off, this game marked their last real home -made contest at BMO Field, at least until the end of July 2026 from the World Cup. The performance was far from sending, which fans of 19,000 hoped, since the general record of the team 5-11 and 3-6 Home Mark struck a sharp blow.

Even with a playoff baseball passing less than five kilometers, it was encouraging to see a strong turnout on the BMO Field, although the vast majority of bore and yellow from Hamilton tiger cats and remained after inspiration of the famous OSKEE-WEE-WEE singing.

Standing at the Argonauts until the end

Now that the dreams of the play -off of the Argonauts were broken, they have two games left. The next in six days, on October 10, when they go to Regina to meet with Saskachevan. I will still be here to share my thoughts about the game, so follow the updates, fans of the Argonauts.
