Baseball is America's pastime because of the iconic moments the sport has provided.
Los Angeles Dodgers and the Toronto Blue Jays presented some incredible cases that left fans in disbelief. Sports figures like Caitlin Clark and Chris Paul were among those who were shocked by how epic Game 7 of the World Series was.
The Dodgers may have won the World Series 5-4, but they captured the hearts and minds of fans from Saturday night until early Sunday morning.

5). Clayton Kershaw ended his career on a high note

It looked pretty bleak for a while. Clayton Kershaw is stuck watching the Blue Jays try to get a win over the Dodgers that would end their 32-year World Series drought. Instead, Max Muncy, Miguel Rojas and Will Smith turned the game around in a hurry.
Kershaw finished his career with his third championship ring as his next stop is Cooperstown and induction into the Baseball Hall of Fame. He addressed his teammates in the locker room just before the champagne started flowing.
“I’m honored to be in this club with you guys. I love each and every one of you,” he said. “I can’t think of a better way to go out than to pop bottles with this group of guys. We are champions twice in a row!”
4). Bo Bichette's three-run home run.

The Rogers Center was buzzing early in the game. Blue Jays fans were expecting something amazing and they got it. Bo Bichette, who was battling a knee injury, hit a three-run home run in the third inning to give the Blue Jays the lead.
Bichette was 2-for-4 before manager John Schneider made a run for him later in the game.

3). Catch by Andy Pages over Enrique Hernandez
Blue Jays third baseman Ernie Clement had the bases loaded and had a chance to establish himself alongside Joe Carter in the organization's history. Clement drove a pitch deep to left-center field.
Enrique Hernandez had his eye on the ball but needed an overhead catch to end the inning. Instead, center fielder Andy Pages came up and snatched the ball over Hernandez. Pages got Hernandez to tackle him and that kept Los Angeles' hopes alive.
2). Yoshinobu Yamamoto's magical 2-plus innings

The Dodgers turned to Yamamoto to help get the team out of a jam in the bottom of the ninth inning—a night after he pitched six innings in the Dodgers' game-winning sixth.
Yamamoto entered the game Blake Snell and was able to end the threat of base congestion. He then shut out Toronto in the 10th and 11th innings to seal the deal. He won three World Series games and was named World Series Most Valuable Player.

1). Will Smith Home Run

It was a moment that will long be remembered in Dodgers history. Smith hit a home run in the top of the 11th inning off the Blue Jays pitcher. Shane Bieber to give Los Angeles a 5-4 lead.

It was Los Angeles' first lead of the game, and it was a moment of magic that helped propel the Dodgers to victory.
