Top 5 Video Games Coming in December 2025
While November 2025 was slower than usual for video game releases, December 2025 is actually pretty crazy. There are several big games coming out in the first couple of weeks. Then, as usual, in the last couple of weeks, December ended because of Christmas. The oft-delayed Terminator 2D: No Fate took second place this month. Normally we wouldn't feature this retro game again, but it's one of the biggest releases of December (if it finally comes out). The first three (in chronological order) Like a Dragon games are available now on PS4. But Yakuza 0: Director's Cut has been a Switch 2 exclusive for the past six months. On the same day as Yakuza 0: Director's Cut, Sega is also releasing PS5 versions. Yakuza Kiwami 1 And 2. Physical item collectors should be excited about these fast-paced JRPGs. The Kiwami 1 and 2 combo pack is as cheap as Yakuza 0: Director's Cut. Without a doubt, they are timed to please fans of the series with the early release of Yakuza Kiwami 3 and Dark Ties in 2026. We don't usually put a collection of the latest remasters in an article like “The 5 Best Video Games Coming in December 2025,” but this is a slower month.
4. Elden Ring: Nightreign – DLC The Forsaken Hollows – December 4
We don't usually include DLC in our “5 Best Video Games Coming in December 2025” list, but this one is a big one. Ancient Ring: The Kingdom of Night – Forsaken Hollows was just announced this month. It's hard to deny the enormous popularity of Elden Ring. Forsaken Hollows promises two new Nightwalkers, two new bosses, and one new moving land. This multiplayer RPG expansion will be available for PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X/S and PC.
