Tommy’s Dad Moves In, Rebecca Hooks Up

SPOILER ALERT: This post contains spoilers from Season 2, Episode 4 “LandmanDancing Rainbows premieres Sunday, December 7th on Paramount+.

This week's episode of Landman is pretty depressing, starting with a suicide attempt and then spending the rest of the episode talking to and about the dead. Causes a lot of regrets, but it ends on a high note: new family connections are made AND one of our main characters gets laid! Read on to analyze all of this week's big moments, from the graveyard to the bedroom.

  • The Georgia Satellites' “Keep Your Hands to Yourself” is a perfect one-hit wonder. Just hearing the episode start makes me want to get into a bar fight.
  • The Landman team always convincingly films a car accident. What a mess!
  • Why did Cooper (Jacob Lofland) sleep on the ground instead of in his truck?
  • “I want you everywhere.” Oh, okay, Cooper, that's very nice. You're bringing her back!
  • I'm glad I'm an older married man and not on a date. Ariana (Paulina Chavez) told Cooper to leave and he left but she wanted him to fight for her but he didn't because he was giving her space… I'm not saying anyone's feelings are wrong, but just communicate right here people! It's tiring!
  • Oh no, now I'm worried that Dale (James Jordan) accidentally ended up on Adderall!
  • Oh, who's that hot guy sitting next to Rebecca (Kayla Wallace) on the private jet?
  • There's nothing snarky to say about Cami talking to her husband's grave – Demi Moore, as usual, is great in this series. Emmy please!
  • It's funny to see the always level-headed Rebecca lose her cool and make a scene on this turbulent flight. Plus, you gotta love unintentional flirting!
  • The look Tommy (Billy Bob Thornton) gives when Angela (Ali Larter) suggests her “Sexy Salsa” playlist for the trip is comedy gold.
  • Thornton's ability to use profanity is top notch. Please enjoy how he makes a meal out of the word “f-UCK-ing” in the line “We're going to a damn funeral!” This is acting!
  • Angela and Ainsley (Michelle Randolph) always calling Nate “Neil” is a great joke.
  • Asking, “Who are these damn clowns?” it's a great way to meet new people.
  • Damn, I bet the food at the roadside place called “The Bucket” is delicious. And these corn dogs would also call my name…
  • Tommy's story about his mother is so sad that I can barely finish my corn dogs!
  • Crying while TL (Sam Elliott) tells the story of the rainbow from the sprinkler.
  • Wasted Rebecca seems like a fun diversion!
  • Oh, Tommy's going to flip when he finds out that Cami has met up with Gallino (Andy Garcia) and potentially put the company at further risk.
  • Obsessed with Gallino's relationship with Bella (Stefania Spampinato). Is this the healthiest marriage the Taylor Sheridan Show has ever had?
  • I don't think I really understood Gallino's snakes and hawks metaphor, but hey, they made a deal!
  • What a terrible turn for Jerrell (Elijah Collins) after that gas leak. I hope he gets better!
  • As Ainsley's comforting film, Save the Last Dance is a great choice.
  • Oh no, this tragic backstory of SIDS explains a lot.
  • Ah, Rebecca, it's okay that you had fun! Accept it!
  • Hurray, grandpa is moving! Let's shake things up!
  • “I'm not sure I deserve this.” Oh well… one last shout before we wrap things up.

Until next time, let me know in the comments below what you like most about Rebecca's sexy new oil guy, Charlie (Guy Burnet). This is his bathroom set, right?
