Tom Wilson will not be suspended

Bad news for those hoping Tom Wilson gets disqualified.

There were rumors that the NHL would not penalize the Capitals player (who has a history of questionable hits) for his hit on Jake Evans.

And now Renaud Lavoie has confirmed that this is not in the plans.

We are still waiting for news on the health of Jake Evans, who was unable to finish last night's game due to an elbow from Wilson.

It is incredible that a player who swings like that and sticks his elbow out to aim for an opponent's face can get away with it without any penalties.

Not only do they not listen to him, but they also get away with it without a fine or penalty in the game. The icing on the ice cream: the episode's own goal.

The second icing on the cake: not a single Habs player hit him during the game.

The Canadiens showed once again that they can't do justice to a team as big as the Washington Capitals. #LikeInThePlayoffs

The NHL should have suspended the player and the referees should have punished him… but that's really out of the control of Martin St. Louis' men.

What do they control? I go to war for a valuable teammate.

We'll see at practice this morning at 11:30 whether the Canadiens have the medical information to announce the center's condition.

after a while

– Good.

– Oh.

– Interesting thing.

“They weren’t impressed, of course.”
