Turning Point USA hosted an event Thursday at the University of Texas at El Paso. Frontier Czar Tom Homan spoke at the event.
It was a packed room.

Homan spoke about immigration enforcement and said he doesn't want anyone to get hurt in the process, whether it be federal agents or illegal aliens. He was interrupted in the process by a heckler and dealt with in typical Homan style.
“Every night when I go to bed, I pray for the safety of every Border Patrol and ICE agent,” Homan said.

“And I pray for everyone we're looking for. I don't want anyone to get hurt, I don't want anyone to die, including officers and aliens. And this is an indisputable fact. Call me what you want, I don’t care.”
The heckler then interrupted him, calling him a “racist” and a “traitor.”
“Call me what you want, I don’t care,” Homan simply said. “Why don’t you grow a spine, put a Kevlar vest on your hip and a gun, and go guard that border?”
This is a retaliatory strike. Homan is absolutely right. Heckler wants to bash Homan, attacking the one doing the work to secure the border. And it's safe now, unlike how it was under Joe Biden. Trump's team and Homan helped make this happen. This is about protecting the country and saving lives, not just words. They kept that promise.
However, the left has demonized ICE and the Border Patrol for doing their job of enforcing the law. It is evil and has led to attacks on federal agents. The left doesn't seem to care who might get hurt in the process of demonizing them. All they seem to care about is attacking President Donald Trump.

Heckler also tried to blame Homan for the 2019 shooting, which happened in El Paso.
“Patrick Crusius, your everyday conservative, drove hundreds of miles to our city based on your belief that Latinos are replacing the white race of white people and we need panic to keep Latinos from coming to the country,” the protester said, claiming that “The Great Replacement is now the mainstream conservative narrative.”
No, “conservatives” don't believe in shooting people, and Homan contradicted him: “I said the open border was an action, was a riot, and it was by design.”
Meanwhile, the irony is that a critic makes comments like this when demonizing the left puts people at risk.
