A swamp awaits in a tiny aquarium
Tiny Aquarium: Social Fish Farming is getting a major free update today as Lunheim Studios announces the release of a new expansion, Swamplands. Since the game launched in June to over 1,780 reviews and an “overwhelmingly positive” rating on Steam, the studio has continued to build on its cozy foundation, and the latest update marks another step in its steady growth.
At the center of the expansion is the Swamp, a new fishing area that adds a fresh atmosphere to the otherwise quiet grind of the game. Players can now discover eleven additional species of fish and shells, including the king crab, and experiment with ten new decorations to personalize their aquariums. The update also introduces a new badge system that gives fish special qualities, offering an easy sense of progression while keeping things casual. Additional improvements include more storage space for excess fish and an improved lobby creation system that allows players to control who joins their social spaces.
Developed by Lunheim Studios and published by Future Friends Games, the team behind SUMMERHOUSE, Gourdlets and Cloverpit, Tiny Aquarium: Social Fishkeeping invites players to raise and sell fish in real time, decorate their tanks, and join friends in shared lobbies to fish together. Designed for sitting quietly at the edge of the screen, the game encourages short, calming sessions that fit naturally into work, study, or breaks.
With the release of the free update, Swamplands Tiny Aquarium continues to expand its gentle world while maintaining the cozy charm that resonated so strongly with its community.
