Timothée Chalamet Thanks Kylie Jenner, Wins Best Actor at Critics Choice Awards

Timothée Chalamet took the time to honor the memory of his longtime girlfriend. Kylie Jennerwhen he took home the Critics' Choice Award on Sunday night for his role as aspiring ping-pong champion Marty Mauser in “Marty Supreme.”

“Thank you to my partner of three years. I love you. I couldn't do this without you,” he said, accepting prize for best actor. “Thank you from the bottom of my heart.”

When the camera showed Jenner, she responded: “I love you.”

During his speech, the actor also thanked his fellow nominees. Chalamet was nominated along with Leonardo DiCaprio for One Battle After Another, Joel Edgerton for Train Dreams, Ethan Hawke for Blue Moon, Michael B. Jordan for The Sinners and Wagner Moura for The Secret Agent.

After hesitating, Chalamet admitted: “I’m more nervous than I thought.” He then thanked Josh Safdie, who co-wrote and directed the film. “You made a story about a flawed man with an interesting dream, and you didn't preach to the audience about right and wrong. I think we should all tell stories like that,” he said. “Thank you for this dream.”

Earlier in the evening, Burglars starred Meg Stalter and Paul W. Downes. walked the carpet in matching bright orange vinyl ensemblespaying homage to Jenner and Chalamet's outfits at the A24 film premiere.

Marty Supreme premiered on Christmas Day, debuting in third place in North America behind Avatar: Fire and Ash ($64 million) and Zootopia 2 ($20 million), earning $17 million over the traditional weekend.
