Timothée Chalamet celebrates his long-awaited return to Arrakis as the third Dune film, officially titled Dune: Messiahcontinues production. The actor recently shared a behind-the-scenes photo on social media that, while it doesn't reveal much, reminded us how much we're looking forward to the next chapter of the sci-fi saga.
Threequel started filming in the summerwith Chalamet reprising his role as Paul Atreides. While the film doesn't have an official plot description yet, we do know that it will be based on Frank Herbert's novel of the same name, which covers the 12-year gap between the events of the film. Dune: Part Two.
Most details are still being kept under wraps, but Chalamet gave fans a reason to get excited by posting a new photo online. his Instagram account. In the picture we see him standing in front of a beautiful sunset. He's not in costume and nothing about the upcoming film is revealed here, so don't look for any clues.

As we mentioned earlier, not much is known about Dune 3 yet. Chalamet and Zendaya are returning to the main cast. Florence Pugh reprises her role as Princess Irulan along with other names such as Rebecca Ferguson, Josh Brolin, Christopher Walken and many more. Anya Taylor-Joy, who briefly appeared in Dune: Part Two, will finally make her debut as Alia Atreides in the upcoming film.
New names have also joined the cast, including Robert PattinsonHuuna-Blue Moon County, ADVoke.
Speaking exclusive to GamesRadar+Rebecca Ferguson has confirmed that she has a small role as Lady Jessica in the film, despite the character not appearing in the original novel. “Yes! I'm in it. Small. I dip in and out because I'm not in the books. So I didn’t count on it,” she recalled. “Denis [Villeneuve] called me and asked, “Why do I get the feeling that you think you’re not in the movie?” And I thought, “Because I’m not in the books?” And he was like, “No, man, I have a couple of scenes…”
