WITHTeam Canada presentMonty should have succeeded.
However, on the first pitch of the game, he flinched.

After one period, Montreal had only two shots on goal.
It's a rare first period that the home team forgets.
New period, new Canadiens. Kirby Duch scored the important goal to cut the lead to two goals.

Shortly after, the Habs took advantage of the power play and scored their second goal within minutes.
Did you think it was all over with the score 3:0? With this goal, Nick Suzuki extended his streak by at least one point to 12. The first such series for the Habs since 1995.

Another great pass from Ivan Demidov to his captain on the power play.
Samuel Montembeault then made his mark in the period after a difficult first match. Here, after a strong check from captain Christian Dvorak, he stopped Owen Tippett on a point-blank breakaway.

Late in the period, Dach scored his second goal of the evening.
What a game from Lane Hutson, who reached the 80 career point plateau in consistency.
Monty allowed three goals on five shots, while his opponent allowed three goals on eight shots. Dan Vladar already looked better…

Four goals on nine shots a few minutes later when Ivan Demidov thwarted him with a well-placed shot.
Hutson added another assist in the sequence.

Despite all the noise and gunfire, Philadelphia finally scored their fourth goal.
On the 37th shot, Nikita Grebenkin foiled Monty after he made 32 saves in a row.
