Game rewards are coming up soon, and now host and organizer Geoff Keighley is hyped up for the event with some sort of actual teaser campaign for something people think is Diablo related. Others don't believe it's related to Diablo. Some people think it's for the next God of War game. Still others believe it could be for The Elder Scrolls 6. However, all of these speculations could be wrong.
On November 28, Keighley posted the text “regal.inspiring.thickness” along with an image of some huge carving of humanoid people in the middle of the desert. On November 29, Keighley performed with Image on Google Maps showing the location of a marketing monolith in the Californian desert. People quickly found the spot and posted images and videos, including the one below. Then, on December 5th, Kaley posted another teaser, also very cryptic.
Here's the message: “█████ are silent. █████ is bleeding. New █████ trouble.”

Windows Central reporter Jez Corden said The teaser is related to the announcement of the upcoming Diablo 4 expansion, “but not only.”
It was previously confirmed that Diablo 4 will receive a new expansion in 2026so a reveal at The Game Awards would make sense. The image of the monolith teaser is also hellish, which is quite appropriate if this is a teaser for Diablo 4.
Reporter Jason Schreier said he has “no idea where Jez got this from” since it's due to the teaser being about the Diablo 4 expansion.
“No idea where Jez got this from, but this statue is not teasing the Diablo 4 expansion. (I currently have no plans to reveal what it is, sorry, but it's a good one),” he wrote.
Another theory is that the monolith is a teaser for the next God of War game, but according to God of War veteran Corey Barlog, that may not be true either.
In another postSchreier said the desert statue is not a tease for The Elder Scrolls 6 either.
“I'll do this again because people are getting out of hand: no, the statue is not teasing Elder Scrolls 6. I'll stop answering that question now. Unless someone finds me at the JW bar next week and asks very politely, then maybe I'll answer, depending on how much I've had to drink,” he said.
Some are now speculating that this is a teaser for The Elder Scrolls Online. PC Gamer noted what the crocodile in the monolith might actually be Daedroth from The Elder Scrolls lore. People have speculated that the monolith set in the desert could be a reference to the Alik'r Desert.
Boutique game publisher Devolver has posted a cheeky post about the Game Awards monolith, saying it's actually marketing for Skate Story. It's not. But it's pretty funny.
If no one else claims this thing, then we will.
This is for Skate Story, which releases December 8th on Nintendo Switch, PS5 and Steam.
Anyone else who claims this is lying. We made it from the bones of most of our trainees, and the remaining trainees threw it into the desert. pic.twitter.com/8zBpid2h03
