The Zombie Slayers Brings Chaotic Zombie Comedy to Steam

The zombie killers are finally here

Individual developer Rashad Ibrahimli and indie.io released The Zombie Slayers on Steam, a top-down co-op shooter that combines chaotic action, slapstick and a barrage of undead enemies. This is a world where survival depends on both teamwork and the ability to laugh as the mutant Hulk turns a survivor into a very small blood sausage.

Players can join forces into teams of six survivors, each wearing customizable outfits ranging from the practical to the downright absurd. Each mission challenges players to complete objectives while staying alive using an arsenal of weapons, explosives, and deployable defenses. Among the most unusual tools are baby companions dropped from the air by a stork, which happily help destroy zombies, but need to be recharged with milk bottles. This strange mechanic adds a surprising level of strategy to the chaos.

As players progress, they earn experience to unlock new outfits, useful perks, and animal companions to accompany them through the apocalypse. The campaign takes players to a variety of locations such as gas stations, office buildings, shipping docks, and even a malfunctioning nuclear power plant, each with unique missions and survival challenges.

For those who prefer to fight alone, the game offers a single-player mode with teammates ready to provide support. Fans of pure chaos can immerse themselves in Brutal Zombie Waves mode, battling endless hordes of the undead and climbing the leaderboard.

The Zombie Slayers is now available on Steam for $6.99, with a 20% discount to celebrate its debut. Filled with humor, gore, and surprising heart, it challenges players to survive the apocalypse and look great doing it.
