You would recognize her voice, although you would probably never recognize her face. She's the one whispering in your ear through your AirPods, telling you exactly what she wants to do to you. Yes, she may make you moan, close your eyes and forget for a second where you are, but she is not your girlfriend and not your last date. Her voice is behind some of the most popular erotic audio on the Internet.
Meet RinaAn anonymous Canadian creator whose job it is to make people orgasm without even touching them. She started working for Quinnaudio erotic application, in 2022 as a creator. And she is “honored” that people admire her voice. “For me, it's one of the best feelings in the world,” she says.
But becoming an erotic audio creator requires a lot more than just reading a script. Rina not only writes most of her audio recordings herself, but also produces them. “I only record one sound per recording session because I believe each one deserves as much energy, care and attention as I can put into it,” she says. “I really put a lot of myself into the plays, so it felt right to focus on creating each one and dedicate my time to it,” she says.
Curious what else is needed to create the perfect audio erotica? Rina talks about the intimate process behind her recordings and how her work has even helped influence her own sex life.
Popsugar: Can you tell me what a recording session is like?
Rina: I like to write and edit during the day and record in the evening or at night because I think the atmosphere when recording is really important. When it comes time to record, the atmosphere in my studio matches the atmosphere of the sound – dim lighting, scented candles and pre-listening to music that matches that atmosphere.
PS: Have you ever changed anything about your voice to make it sound more “sexy” in audio?
Rina: I like to change my voice a little depending on the character I'm playing. Each audio is a separate script with its own unique character. To make the listener feel more immersed, I use a different voice, tone and style that I think suits them best. It's really fun to experiment with what I can do differently with my voice to help the listener really feel these characters come to life.
PS: Where do you get inspiration for your stories?
Rina: I really enjoy exploring different speakers and trying new things. A lot of the stories I've told recently come from listener requests on Instagram – I like to poll my audience about what they'd like to hear and what they're in the mood for, like femme dom or switching vibes. I love seeing their excitement and feedback when I do it.
PS: How important is tone of voice, pacing and breathing to creating a believable erotic experience?
Rina: This is all fair. Dirty talk, like any other performance, is a fine art. Audio erotica and all the small, precise details that go into it are the passion of my life. I love experimenting and playing with different ways of using breath, tone and tempo. For example, simply exhaling into someone's ear is sexy in itself, but if you stretch it out and move it from one ear to the other. . . yes, that's a good thing.
PS: What was your favorite story you recorded?
Rina: It's so hard to choose just one! I think one of my favorites is “It’s Always the Shy Ones.” This was the first audio recording where I began to explore the ideas of breeding F4F kink with ejaculating straps. After making this, I received comments saying things like, “This made me feel so normal about this kink,” and “This really opened up something in me,” and it feels really good to be able to give people this experience in a fun and safe way.
“Audio erotica and all the small, precise details that go into it are the passion of my life.”
PS: Any bad stories?
Rina: Probably while I was recording a really intense cunnilingus scene. There was a point in the audio where I was working really hard to help the listener's character achieve orgasm – like burying my nose in his metaphorical crotch, growling into it, slurping, sucking, licking, getting really wild – and suddenly choking on my own saliva while inhaling and trying to do it all at once. One glass of water later I was completely fine, but the people I live with definitely heard it. Oops.
PS: Have you ever listened to your records?
Rina: I clean, score, and edit my own audio, so my studio involves a lot of listening, re-listening, re-listening. I go into a recording knowing exactly how I want it to sound when it's finished, and it takes hours of work to get there, so I'm always very proud of the final version when it's done.
PS: Do you have any tips for people who want to incorporate more dirty talk into their bedroom with their partner?
Rina: Be yourself, socialize, allow yourself to really have fun and try new things. Fantasies and role-playing are also fun ways to talk dirty. I find that when it's more of a two-way conversation rather than just a “line” here and there, it really puts a lot of pressure on everyone involved to “say the right thing” and it really makes for a memorable experience.
PS: How has recording erotic audio changed your personal attitude towards sex?
Rina: It affected me in many ways. Dirty talk is natural, talking about sex is really easy, and for me it really emphasized that self-pleasure in tandem with audio erotica is one of the best ways to give yourself love, care and pleasure.
