The Visitor Effect: Not an Experiment Is Coming Out This November

Solve the puzzles in “The Visitor Effect: Not an Experiment”

Spanish independent studio Mystic Morgue has announced the release date of its debut project The Visitor Effect: Not an Experiment. The game will be released on November 7 for Steam, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch with the support of publisher Dojo System. It will also be featured at Steam Next Fest from October 13 to 20, where players and press will be able to explore a demo and request access for review.

In The Visitor Effect: Not an Experiment, players awaken as R3D, an alien robot trapped inside a strange simulation. With no memory of who controls them or why they exist, the R3Ds must navigate a reality where every choice brings them either closer to discovering the truth or falling deeper into deception. The story unfolds through dialogue, hidden notes, and moral choices. It forces players to think critically about what is real and what is an illusion.

Those who manage to escape the simulation will face a new trial before the General, the last barrier between R3D and freedom. To survive, players will have to solve complex puzzles and adapt to evolving mechanics. At the same time, avoid the merciless turrets and enemies.

During Steam Next Fest, players will be able to see the colorful but corrupt world of the game first hand. Throughout the week, Mystic Morgue will feature developer livestreams, behind-the-scenes sessions, and interactive community events. Fans will be able to share feedback, participate in competitions and receive special rewards for participation.

Combining mystery, strategy, and emotional storytelling, The Visitor Effect: Not an Experiment challenges players to question perception, choice, and truth itself. The game is now wishlisted on Steam ahead of its November release.
