The world continues to react and mourn terrible deaths legendary director Rob Reiner and his wife Michelle Singer.
Currently the authorities investigation the incident was called an “apparent murder”. Rob and Michelle's 32-year-old son, Nick Reiner, was arrested in connection with their deaths and is currently in custody.
While many in Hollywood and beyond openly mourn the couple's death, US President Donald Trump has taken a very different tack regarding incendiary post on the social network “Pravda” in which he suggested that their deaths were “reportedly due to the anger he had caused in others due to his enormous, persistent and incurable affliction, a mind-paralyzing disease known as TRUMP SYNDROME.”
Not surprisingly, the reaction to Trump's post was harsh and extremely negative. View to the list of people who, to one degree or another, condemned his statements.
After co-host Sunny Hostin started reading Trump's post out loud, Whoopi Goldberg interrupted her and said, “Don't read it, just tell them it's here,” and Sunny added, “I don't think we should hear about it.”
Ana Navarro then gave a sharp response to Trump's statement. “For Trump to say this today, I will say this: You know, gosh, the American family is grieving,” she said.
“This is a tragedy not only for the family, but for everyone who knew and loved him, and for the president United States talking about it as a way to attack Rob Reiner because he exercised his American right to say something he doesn't agree with is disgraceful.”
I couldn't have said it better myself, to be honest. Now we wait for Trump's inevitable action on this issue…what a world.
