The team behind Blue Prince puts out a call to get one of the puzzle game’s devs a life-saving kidney

Guys, this is a little serious! Studio behind Blue Princeone of the most popular games this year, asks for help from one of the leading testers, Matthew “Iggy” Kowalski. According to Bluesky, Iggy has polycystic kidney disease and is just months away from finding a living kidney donor.

Developer Dogubomb wrote on Bluesky that “Iggy was an invaluable tester and made a huge contribution to the project. He was absolutely brilliant at the game and came up with so many original strategies that we had never thought of. Please help us spread the word and we can help find him a living kidney donor.”

Iggy was an invaluable tester and contributed greatly to the project. He was absolutely brilliant at the game and came up with so many original strategies that we hadn't even thought of. Please help us spread the word and help find him a living kidney donor. 💙

Iggy makes his situation very clear on his personal website: “I have a disease that requires a living kidney donor. I have no other options. I only have a few months until I have to have this surgery before I get seriously ill and die.” He explains that because of his illness, his kidneys have “cysts growing all over them, making them look massive. As this happens, the kidneys lose their functionality. Think like the chest in Alien, except it's not an alien baby, and we don't expect it to hit theaters this fall.”

I'm sharing this with you because honestly, if you have a spare kidney, it would be great if you could help a developer in need! Iggy even explains that you don't have to be the perfect match, as you can work with other donors to find the best match. More information can be found on Iggy's website, so tell a friend even if you can't do it yourself!
