South Korean group Stray Kids is coming to Roblox today, and from now until the weekend they will be running SKZOO, promoting their new album Do It. As seen in the videos below, Stray Kids' anthropomorphic avatars will be performing their songs in the game as virtual concerts.
Stray Kids-related items are also hidden in four different Roblox games, with two items per game. Players can collect all eight items and bring them to the Block to watch Stray Kids perform and receive additional free items from the group. However, this event will only last until 10:00 AM PT/1:00 PM ET on Monday, December 22nd.
In other Roblox-related news, the platform was banned in Russia accused of negatively influencing children and apparently considers distributing LGBTQIA+ content a crime. But Russia is not alone in its accusations that Roblox is not did enough to protect children from exploitation and child care. A June 2024 Bloomberg Investigation reported that the platform was infested with predators. More recently, Florida And Texas sued Roblox over this issue.
Last month, Roblox introduced new initiatives for don't let children talk to strangersand limit interactions to children around their age. Roblox CEO David Baszucki said:will be categorically rejected» description of platform security measures in litigation. He also said that Roblox has done an “incredible job of innovation” and added that it is “constantly getting better” at protecting the ability of children to connect with each other in the game.
