I don't know if you've seen anything about the Barack Obama Presidential Center. But if you haven't, he posted about it on Saturday.
When the Obama Presidential Center opens next year, it will be a center for change—a place where people from around the world can come together, be inspired, and take what they learn back to their communities. https://t.co/gW6UCYBCAJ pic.twitter.com/U92thHbAUL

“When the Obama Presidential Center opens next year, it will be a center for change—a place where people from all over the world can come together, be inspired, and take what they learn back to their communities.”
For some time now this has become a useless exercise. In fact, it's a perfect portrayal of Barack Obama.
Here's Newsweek's headline about the project: “Behind Schedule, Over Budget, and Mired in Lawsuits.”

The local community was also was unhappy about it or had concerns.
Obama Center – Which Collided years of delays and lawsuits since then breakthrough in September 2021 – will occupy nearly 20 acres of the 540-acre Jackson Park and include a museum, a public library branch, a sports center, gardens and a children's playground.
While the cost of the privately financed project has risen from the original $500 million budget, residents say they have also seen rents and property taxes soar as construction nears completion.
“Rents are rising rapidly,” Kiana Butler of Southside Together, one of at least three local activist groups that lobbied the Obama Foundation to better integrate the project into the surrounding neighborhood, told the Daily Mail.
“A two-bedroom apartment that used to rent for $800 a month has already jumped to $1,800. Property taxes are rising so much that the owner of my house says she might as well just leave.
One resident called it a “monstrosity” that takes away from the beautiful area that was once here. So much for the feelings of the locals. I think they are lost in narcissism.

But it's kind of funny that Obama writes about it and stands there with Michelle and admires it like it's something great, because frankly, it has to be one of the ugliest buildings I've ever seen. “Let’s bring change home,” the video ends. It's a change, yes. But just like the changes Obama brought to the country, they don't look very good, like the gray ugliness of the buildings of the Soviet Union or dystopian prison.
Some posted videos of Star Wars X-wing fighters approaching the library building, while others photoshopped the structure from the side to replace the torsos of the massive AT-AT walkers from The Empire Strikes Back.
Others superimposed the Eye of Sauron from The Lord of the Rings onto its roof, while others simply posted photos of Easter Island heads.
Also included in the comparison were cat litter boxes, as well as regular trash cans, containers, and ephemera from Star Trek and The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy.
“It's a hoax! Just like his presidency!” one person wrote.
“It's like someone put together a Lego set without instructions,” said another.

Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX) said it was a “bold move” to find the Death Star in Chicago.

Seriously, paying $830 million for this explains one of the reasons why Obama's presidency was such a failure.
Editor's note: Schumer's completion is here. Instead of putting the American people first, Chuck Schumer and the radical Democrats forced the government to shut down health care to illegal immigrants. They own it.
