Having watched my seriously ill husband healed after death, I absolutely agree with Ann Perkins (I knew all about the problems and shortcomings of the NHS. But then, as a patient, I saw love and magic, December 29th.). When we don't need the NHS, it runs quietly in the background. When we do this, the care, love and support is beyond words and priceless. How lucky we are.

I'm not happy with the title of your article(2025 was the year we got tired of celebrities for celebrity sake, December 30). On December 22, the famous versions of the films “Antique Journey,” “The Chase,” “Escape to the Country,” “Mastermind,” and “Master Chef” were shown on television, and earlier newsprint sections were devoted to “Famous Traitors.”

Banning Doctors Without Borders (Doctors Without Borders) from working in Gaza would undoubtedly be beyond ironic (Israel to ban dozens of aid organizations in Gaza as 10 countries warn of suffering, December 30).

Re units (Is it Twixmas or Twixtmas? And other style guide conundrums we encountered this year in the Guardian, December 29.), I noticed in recent article in the Guardian that the size of the Mexican island of Espiritu Santo can be compared to the size of Manhattan. What is it like on football fields and/or stadiums in Wales?
