the New Anti-Woke GOP Candidate for 31st District in TX ? – RedState

The fate of the Texas Republican Party may lie in the hands of a notorious late-night TV commercial salesman. This sounds like a ridiculous policy proposal – BUT WAIT, THERE'S MORE! If you act now, you can bolster the election prospects of the genius behind the suede towel you never knew you needed.

During Thanksgiving, it was announced that Vincent Shlomi had announced his candidacy for the US House of Representatives from the 31st Congressional District of Texas. To clear things up a bit, Shlomi goes by the name Vince Offer, but you probably know him by his more general label: The Sham Wow Guy.

Mr. Offer was a staple of late-night television for several years, selling his miracle towels, which are said to hold 20 times their weight in liquid and serve as an all-purpose drying and cleaning solution. The success was enough to see Vince later launch another household gadget, the Slap Chop. It was a small table knife with a spring drive.

The offer was out of the spotlight for a while while he tried to break into Hollywood. He was the creative force behind a pair of dark, gutter level comedy in the end it came to nothing. His second sentence: “In “Appropriate Comedy” somehow there was a group of famous stars like Lindsay Lohan, Adrien Brody and Rob Schneider there.

But now Offer is back, and today he wants to join the GOP.

Texas's 31st Congressional District is a largely rural region located immediately north of Austin. It has been represented by 84-year-old John Carter for more than two decades, but the longtime politician We have a busy primary field ahead of us in the upcoming midterms.and the pitcher is ready to challenge the incumbent.

He states that he was inspired to join the political fight when he was working on a recent video he called “Woke Busters” and the murder of Charlie Kirk occurred. “I was attracted to it,” he said. said Time magazine, citing the fallen conservative voice. That's what made him run for president… even if his sales pitch is currently a little murky. Part of the time continues:

Shlomi admits he still has some “work to do” on the specifics of his platform. However, a core tenet of his campaign is to fight “wakeism” in America, which he claims is “based on misinformation or false ideas to control people” and accuses it of creating “hatred and fear” in society. If elected, he wants to address the suppression of conservative views that he believes is happening on some social media platforms.

You might not expect to see an attack ad (ad?) targeting Carter, as Vince doesn't seem to have much insight into his opponent's work history. (“I'm sure he's done a lot of good things,” Shlomi says of Carter.) What Offer needs to do is start selling himself with the same energy as his product lines, convincing people to stop boring voting and stop boring politics.

“I did a really good job at ShamWow and just stayed myself,” the candidate says. “I just hope that maybe this is my calling again.”
