New to Prime Day? We have a primer everything you need to know. Sales data is accurate at time of publication, but prices and inventory are always subject to change.
We're in the thick of October Prime Day again, and along with the rest of the Lifehacker team, I've been searching through Amazon to find you the best parts, and the $315 discount on the Netgear Orbi 970 Wi-Fi 7 Mesh Series has definitely caught my attention. This is a system I've tested in the past for review purposes, along with many others, and it is the most powerful Wi-Fi 7 system I've ever used.
The price drop here is 16 percent, so here you go pay $1684.99 instead of $1,999.99. I know that's a lot of money for a mesh system, but this three-pack is a Wi-Fi network for power users, and when you weigh up how important home Wi-Fi is and how much you use it, then it's a worthwhile investment if you have the budget. This is also the system's lowest ever price, according to price trackers.
This beast of a Wi-Fi 7 system will completely eliminate dead spots across 10,000 square feet, and you can easily connect up to 200 devices to it—enough to handle even the busiest of households. There's also fast wired Gigabit ports and quad-band support for a reliable connection anytime.
What are your thoughts so far?
While the theoretical maximum Wi-Fi speed is a staggering 27Gbps, this won't actually increase the speed of your home's broadband, but it will ensure maximum Wi-Fi speeds in every corner of your home. During my testing of the Orbi 970, I was seriously impressed by the upload and download speeds and connection stability across dozens of phones, tablets, laptops and other devices.
