LG just unveiled its new OLED TVs at CES 2026.and they include an unexpected twist on the most popular OLEDseries C: LG The C6 will be available in two versions: LG C6 and LG C6H.
The good news is that the LG C6H is essentially the mid-range OLED that I've been desperately wanting from LG for the past few years.
LG C6H explained
The LG C6H uses a tandem Primary RGB panel, which is essentially the same as the five-star model. LG G5. This should mean a huge boost in brightness and improved color saturation compared to last year. LG C5.
(Note that the LG G6 will be upgraded to the Primary RGB Tandem 2.0 panel, so will still have a brightness and color advantage over the LG C6H.)
However, this has a big drawback: the C6H only comes in 77- and 83-inch sizes. LG noted that this makes sense since such TVs are typically used in bright living rooms, while 65-inch TVs and smaller are typically used in bedrooms or other secondary uses. I'm not sure what it is Really reflects the US average, not to mention the rest of the world, but I have information for you.
Another thing to note about the C6H is that it doesn't have as good an anti-glare coating as the LG G5, despite having the same main OLED panel. In this regard, it and the regular C6 will be on the same level.
LG C6 and processor update
The regular LG C6 will use the same panel type as the LG C5 and will be available in 42-inch, 48-inch, 55-inch, and 65-inch sizes. So they'll all be less bright and saturated than the C6H sizes – and it's worth mentioning here that the 42 and 48-inch sizes are also less bright than the other sizes due to how tightly the pixels are packed together. So there are actually three brightness levels for the LG C6, but only two model names.
However, both the LG C6 and LG C6H would benefit from a processor upgrade. Both models get the new Alpha 11 Gen 3, which is remarkable: Alpha 11 processors used to be reserved for flagship TVs, but now they're coming to mid-range TVs as well.
LG says this processor is much more powerful and will provide a new level of AI-powered scaling, as well as significantly improved technologies to improve SDR performance. HDR.
This also means that the LG C6 and C6H will have all the features of the LG G6, including support new LG Sound Stage with Dolby Atmos FlexConnect and wireless speakers.
Due to the potentially huge difference in performance, when the time comes, we'll review the LG C6 and C6H as separate models. We don't know when this will happen yet, but the first LG TVs usually appear in the spring, so I'm guessing the debut will be in March. We don't have prices yet.
