The Game Awards expands platforms
Every year, the gaming industry comes together to celebrate the games that delighted players that year. Of course, since 2014, this holiday has made its home on Twitch. However, this year this sacred event in the gaming industry is coming to a new platform. For the first time, The Game Awards announced that they will be streaming the show on Prime Video alongside their Twitch broadcast this December. The press release contains more details about the upcoming awards. Additionally, the release features information from Geoff Keighley, creator and CEO Game rewards.
On December 11, The Awards will announce the year in gaming, recognizing outstanding achievements in both the creative and technical aspects of video games. The Game Awards, which will be broadcast live from the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles, will highlight all of the gaming industry's greatest achievements of the past year. Now, along with Twitch, Prime Video will give gamers another place to watch the holiday. For Prime members, gamers can experience the best in gaming in the same way they love at no additional cost.
“We're thrilled to bring our global celebration of video games to an even larger audience with the addition of Prime Video.” said Geoff Keighley, creator and CEO Game rewards. “With the upcoming launch of Fallout Season 2 and a slew of exciting game adaptations, Prime Video is a natural home for our show. We are honored to have Amazon join many other entertainment technology companies as partners with our show.”
Game rewards will air December 11, 2025 at 5:00-8:00 PM PT / 8:00-11:00 PM ET.
