Lego just added 12 new Marvel building sets. to an extensive collection of playsets and display models featuring some of the greatest superheroes and villains from the MCU. New releases only will go on sale on January 1st, and all 12 pieces are already available to order at Amazon And Lego Store. For experienced builders and collectors, the headliner is definitely New 1,297-piece Iron Man Collector's Edition display model. Iron Man Mark 3 is the first Lego Marvel model to have “Collector's Edition” in the name, and the $130 price tag is lower than we'd typically expect for a Marvel display model of this size. If you like buildable robots and articulated Lego figures, you might be interested in a few other new Lego Marvel sets. Lego's latest Iron Man demo looks to usher in a new era of Marvel building sets aimed at adults. The Iron Man Mark 3 figure is the only LEGO Marvel model with an official Collector's Edition title. Lego uses the name “Collector's Edition” for selection Harry Potter modelsincluding new Stand model dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the Philosopher's Stone And Hogsmeade Village. The Mark 3 figure is perhaps the best-looking Iron Man build from Lego; at least this is the most realistic depiction of Tony Stark's iconic MCU costume yet. The Mark 3 holds an important place in MCU history as it was the primary armor worn by Robert Downey Jr. in 2008's Iron Man, the first film in the Avengers: Infinity Saga arc. This difference makes it a fitting debut for the LEGO Marvel Collector's Edition series.
The highly detailed figure features 1,297 pieces and stands over 15 inches tall when connected to the buildable stand. Depending on the pose, the model measures up to 8 inches wide and 4 inches deep. The adjustable figure has multiple points of articulation including the neck, shoulders, waist, wrists and arms. The gold lacquer parts look a little better than the ones that come with the kit.
