The Edmonton Elks missed the playoffs for the fifth straight season, finishing last in the Western Division standings with a 7–11 record.
The team went 6-5 in its last 11 games, but was ultimately hampered by a 1-6 start. Cody Fajardo helped protect the offensive side of the ball after taking over the starting role from Tre Fordand the team's defense improved significantly in the second half of the season.
Fajardo will likely be Edmonton's top priority in free agency.although there are many other major participants planning to go public in February.
