Prepare for battle in the CUBE, SAVE US
XLGAMES has announced that its upcoming action game THE CUBE, SAVE US is in a significant development phase focused on major improvements inspired by player feedback collected during the Steam Next Fest. Originally scheduled for an Early Access release in the fourth quarter of 2025, the game's launch has now been pushed back to the first quarter of 2026 to allow for further development.
During THE CUBE's October presentation, SAVE US received significant attention, ranking third in peak concurrent players and eighth most played demo worldwide. The game's fast-paced escape mechanics and inventive map design earned it widespread praise, helping it surpass 150,000 wishlists on Steam.
XLGAMES said the team will use the additional development time to optimize performance, improve the user interface and experience, and improve server stability to ensure a smoother experience at launch. Producer Yongseong Park expressed his gratitude to the community, highlighting the studio's commitment to meeting player expectations through constant feedback and improvements.
THE CUBE, SAVE US is set in a post-apocalyptic world devastated by nuclear war. Players are immersed in a high-stakes struggle for survival centered around the Cube, a mysterious alien device that has changed the Earth. Players must navigate 27 procedurally generated maps, collect resources, fight mutants and surviving opponents, and escape before time runs out. Combining real-time destruction, dynamic environments and intense PvPvE battles, the game strives to provide an unpredictable and adrenaline-fueled gaming experience every time.
With an extended development timeline and rising community expectations, THE CUBE, SAVE US is positioning itself as one of the most ambitious new action games released in 2026.
