Take on Superheroes in Boys: Trigger Warning
TREE and Sony Pictures Virtual Reality have teamed up to create the first official game based on the acclaimed TV series The Boys. The result is The Boys: Trigger Warning, a virtual reality game that takes players directly into the violent and unpredictable world of the series. Pre-orders for Meta Quest 3 are now open at a limited promotional price of $23.99. It is also available on the PlayStation VR2 wishlist ahead of its release in 2026.
The project was developed with direct input from the series' creators and features several returning cast members. The story follows an original character whose normal family journey falls apart after the discovery of a disturbing secret hidden by Vought. The sudden transformation forces the character to play the role of Super. This sets the stage for an infiltration mission with the Boys. The game combines stealth and action while maintaining the dark humor and edgy tone that define the franchise. It offers a new narrative that fits naturally into the existing universe.
The cast includes Laz Alonso as Mother's Milk, Colby Minifie as Ashley Barrett and PJ Byrne as Adam Bourke. Jensen Ackles also appears as a twisted version of Soldier Boy created specifically for the game. According to Ricardo Justus, founder and head of studio ARVORE, close collaboration with the writers and actors helped maintain the intensity and personality of the series. Lance Sloan, senior vice president of virtual reality at Sony Pictures Entertainment, said the collaboration supports a more ambitious approach to immersive storytelling.
The Boys: Trigger Warning demonstrates the impact of combining a major entertainment franchise with an award-winning virtual reality studio. It features a combination of story and physical interaction that plays to the strengths of both partners, creating an experience crafted with fans and newcomers alike in mind.
