How to ask for a bob haircut
Precision is key when cutting a blunt bob. Ask for sharp, straight ends and make sure your stylist takes into account your unique hair features. “Keep a very close eye on the pile and growth pattern,” advises McMillan; this will provide a balanced and even final look that will be easier to create yourself. Another tip from a pro: “Avoid stress when cutting and cut freehand instead.” You can see this method in action in clip shared by McMillan of Bibb's haircut: While cutting, he lets her hair hang naturally rather than holding it taut. “In turn, this technique creates this architectural form,” he says.
If you are considering a short bob haircut, you should also plan regular pruning to keep it fresh.
