The Steam Winter Sale is approaching – that part of the year when our Lord and Savior Gabin is at his most generous and offers us the best (or best?) deals.
Of course, when prices freeze and fall apart, making the right choice can be difficult. I looked through the initial sale listings and discovered the best Christmas gifts and here they are.
Best Steam Winter Sale 2025 Deals
To compile this group of games, I've listed them from most expensive to cheapest, first highlighting those AAA games that rarely sell for good prices even during the biggest sales because you may have been waiting for a better time to buy them. With that in mind, here's what I found.
Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 – $29.99.
Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 didn't win anything at The Game Awards this year, but it's certainly a game that stole our hearts. It did receive several awards at other exhibitions, which underscores its importance, even if it has been neglected and (somewhat unfairly) overshadowed Chiaroscuro: Expedition 33.
Since this is a fantastic game that takes its setting and player seriously, it would be a shame to miss it. And with this half-price deal, now might be the best time to jump in, provided you've already beaten the first game. on sale for just $5.99.
Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 – $23.99.

Warhammer 40K more relevant than ever in the world of video games, given the upcoming releases Total war: 40 thousand., Mechanicus 2And Dawn of War 4among other things. And luckily, there's also this awesome third-person shooter that builds on the foundations of its predecessor, turns everything up to 11, and makes the blood and gore more visceral than ever.
This is also pretty cheap nowAt just $23.99, it's one of the best prices we've ever had. So if you want to delve deeper into the grim darkness of the distant future, this is the perfect starting point.
Cyberpunk 2077 – $20.99.

Cyberpunk 2077 it's arguably the best game in its eponymous genre, offering a unique retrofuturistic take on the 80s-style sci-fi cornerstone while simultaneously modernizing it and bringing it in line with modern technological considerations. It's an incredible achievement for storytelling and art in general, but it's rarely dropped below $30 since launch. Edgerunners and the subsequent revitalization of the once stigmatized game.
Now, it only costs $20.99reaching a fairly low level by its standards and allowing players to immerse themselves in the virtual world. Unfortunately the DLC Phantom Freedomalso costs $20.99, which is the same price as the base game itself, so I'd wait before eventually picking it up but wouldn't pass it up because of the implications it has on the overall experience.
Red Dead Redemption 2: Ultimate Edition – $19.99.

Rockstar was quick to rush through this announcement, choosing to discount the Ultimate Edition of the game instead of the base version, allowing them to put a larger percentage on the store's listing because that version costs a hundred dollars instead of the usual $60. Regardless, you get the base game and more with this purchase, which in itself is pretty cheap by AAA standards.
Red Dead Redemption 2 also rarely goes below $19.99 as I've seen it top out at $14.99 and that's for the base version of the game so you might as well grab that one while you're at it.
Resident Evil 4 Remake – $15.99.

Completeness resident Evil The franchise is currently discounted as part of the Winter Sale, but I decided to highlight this one. This is one of the best games in the entire series, and with the remake, it became one of the best survival horror games ever made. It eschews all the action scenes and arcade nonsense, instead relying on the gritty realism, fear, and horror that highlight the original game's greatest strengths.
Capcom has really done a great job of revitalizing these older games by cherry-picking the best parts and cutting out the unnecessary stuff, and at this price point it's a steal.
Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy – $8.99.

Marvel games have generally been successful over the past few years, but we've had our fair share of good ones. Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy is one such game that doesn't grab the attention of most people despite its overall quality and fun, which is not to say it's a failure Avengers game.
It's also less than $10, or about the same as a McDonald's hamburger, and this one will keep you a lot more entertained than a trip to your local MCD.
The Ultimate Tomb Raider Survival Trilogy – $7.19

This is perhaps the best proposal in this article, considering that this is not one, but three full games, each of which has its own “definitive” edition. It features the entire reboot trilogy, following Lara Croft's journey from Japan to Russia, into deep and treacherous jungles. It's an emotional, edgy, witty and incredibly fun adventure, and may be my favorite version of Lara ever created.
I'm a little disappointed that the new, “unified” Lara does away with the reboot trilogy's design, but I think we'll probably get mods to fix that very quickly after release.
Hitman: World of Assassination – $2.99.

The final killer gets the maximum discount, which is 90 percent off the original price. For just $2.99, you'll be given the opportunity to take on the worst people in the world, killing them in the most creative and thoughtful ways imaginable.
Of course, most of this game can be purchased separately, but you should get your money's worth even from the initial experience, because what else in the world can give you hours of fun for just three dollars?
Frostpunk – $2.99.

Post-apocalyptic stories are great and all, but those set in a world covered in ice and snow have a more powerful impact. This is kind of the flip side of the post-apocalypse in the desert that we were introduced to. Fall out, Often, Mad Maxand other worlds and boy does Frostpunk repeat it well.
It's essentially a city planner, but it puts you in the role of overseer rather than an omniscient, distant creator. You are bound to your city, must pass laws, keep the people at bay, and most importantly, keep them happy, because if you step out of line and sow enough discontent, you will be driven out or worse.
For honor – $1.49.

For some strange reason, this game continues to live and thrive despite Ubisoft's abject failures on all fronts, both with it and its other games. I return to it from time to time, enjoying the unique gameplay and competitive side of it, the likes of which are rarely seen anywhere. And that's arguably what's kept it together all these years after launch, so if you haven't logged into the game in nearly a decade, now is the time to do so at such a low entry price.
