Just yesterday I called Battlefield 6's ladder glitch, which allows you to bounce long distances off ladders, “the game's most egregious exploit.” So here we are, 24 hours later, and he's been cleverly dethroned. Enter the drone glitch, which is not only the dumbest glitch I've seen in Battlefield 6; It also seems to give players using it the greatest strategic advantage.
As shown in a fascinating video shared by Charlie Intel (via PC gamer), you can fly high above buildings, trees and power lines and literally hover in the clouds, looking down at the bloody madness unfolding below you with the power of judgment granted to you by the sniper rifle you brought with you. The secret to this little trick is depressingly simple: you simply stand on top of a teammate's scout drone and hit it with a sledgehammer. Up, go.
Look:
As with any bug so obviously flawed, this one is probably short-lived for this virtual world, but it's definitely fun to watch in action. In every video I've seen, the player continues to hit the drone by rising above it, seemingly allowing it to rise up and up until it reaches the limits of the map.
In terms of using this glitch to shoot players from above, it does seem unfairly effective, if only because most people probably don't expect sniper rounds to fall from the clouds. I figure that once everything is in place, it will be pretty easy to knock these exploiters out of the sky, provided EA doesn't kill this bug out of the sky before then.
