Reality TV is the perfect place for politicians to start – or so it is. Chris LambtonThe Bachelorette Season 6 runner-up is feeling… because he's now running for State Representative!
TMZ caught up with Chris, who participated in Ali Fedotowskyseason of the hit ABC series in 2010 – and he says his time on the show, followed by numerous appearances as an HGTV host, gave him the best preparation possible to now run for state representative in Massachusetts.
It makes sense—Chris says The Bachelorette taught him how to interview and think on his feet, and gave him a fantastic platform…and hosting shows on HGTV allowed him to learn from all kinds of people in the states. That's just part of why Chris says the reality show fully prepared him to represent his family and friends on Cape Cod, Massachusetts—it's all in the clip!
And, to quote the longtime host of The Bachelor franchise. Chris Harrison … Lambton says he's in it for all the right reasons.
The father of two says he is a down-to-earth guy who loves his country and will do anything to keep his constituents happy. Plus, he says his varied resume (he also runs an oyster farm and does landscaping) only proves he's a hard worker.
The reality TV star and businessman adds that the people of Cape Town deserve a guy who will put them first and show them that politics isn't all bad.
Looks like Lambton is ready to trade roses for votes!
