77-inch Samsung S90D 4K OLED Smart TV (refurbished)

Samsung S90D is the previous generation 2024 model. A new model “S90F” will be released in 2025, but worth $1200 more than this deal. The S90D features Samsung's proprietary Quantum Dot (QD) OLED panel. QD OLED TVs are brighter and have a wider color gamut than traditional W-OLED TVs. They offer superior picture quality to non-OLED TVs thanks to near-instant response times, near-infinite contrast ratios, and the ability to produce true blacks.

Apart from OLED technology, Samsung S90D also has all the features you need in gaming tv. It has a built-in 120Hz panel that can be boosted up to 144Hz and four HDMI 2.1 ports for running 4K games at 120fps on the PlayStation 5 console. The S90D also supports variable refresh rate and automatic low latency mode.

Is this a good TV for Nintendo Switch 2?

Even though this is a current generation console, Nintendo Switch 2 has soft TV requirements compared to the PS5 or Xbox Series X. When the Switch is docked and connected to a TV, it is only capable of outputting a 4K resolution signal at up to 60 frames per second. It can reach 120 frames per second if the resolution drops to 1080p, but the bit rate required for both of these options is almost the same. Oddly enough, it doesn't even receive VRR when docked – that's reserved for handheld mode only. However, the Switch 2 console will still benefit greatly from Samsung's excellent OLED panel.
