The 2025 Latin Grammy Awards are almost here. Here’s what to expect and how to watch

After celebrating its 25th anniversary in Miami last year, the 26th Latin Grammy Awards are heading to Sin City. That's right: 2025. Latin Grammy Awards here and back in Las Vegas. So what can you expect?

Lots of Bad Bunny, that's for sure. Puerto Rican superstar leads nominations with 12, dethroning producer and songwriter Edgar Barrera – known for his work with Bad Bunny, as well as with Madonna, Karol G, Peso Pluma, ShakiraGrupo Frontera and other companies – who previously topped the list in 2023 and 2024 with 13 and 9 nominations respectively.

Barrera is associated with Argentine hip-hop duo CA7RIEL & Paco Amoroso took second place in the number of nominations. They have 10 each.

The Latin Grammys will be broadcast live on TelevisaUnivision's U.S. platforms starting at 8:00 pm ET from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. The hour-long pre-show will begin at 7:00 pm ET.

This year's Latin Grammy introduced a new music for the visual media category. It recognizes original music for films, TV shows, video games and other visual media. For a project to be eligible for this category, it must contain Latin rhythms or be written by someone of Ibero-American descent.

They also added a new category of roots songs. This award will be given to authors of new, unpublished recordings that reflect the traditions and roots of various communities, cultures or social groups, especially those of Hispanic origin, whether in Spanish, Portuguese or indigenous languages ​​or dialects.

This year the party will feature Bad bunny CA7RIEL & Paco Amoroso, Karol G, Marco Antonio Solis, Chuvi, Fuerza Regida and her singer Jesus Ortiz Paz, Pepe Aguilar, Aitana, Iván Cornejo, DannyLux, Gloria Estefan, Kakalo, Karin Leon, Liniker, Morath and Los Tigres del Norte will also take the stage, as will 2025 Latin Grammy Person of the Year Rafael.

Past winners include: Carlos Vives, Person of the Year 2024, as well Juanes, Laura Pausini, Marco Antonio Solis, Ruben Blades and others.
