Texas woman recovers after police report illegal immigrant Previously released by the Biden administration after multiple previous arrests, she was attacked while jogging in a park.
Plano authorities responded to a call regarding an alleged assault at Bob Woodruff Park around 5 p.m. on November 13th. in accordance with FOX 4.
When the police arrivedThe victim reportedly told them she was jogging in the area when an unknown man hit her with a hammer at least twice. The woman fought back the attacker, who then fled the scene, the newspaper reports.

The woman was taken to the hospital and treated for non-life threatening injuries.
Police later identified 17-year-old Sergio Noe de Nova Duarte as a suspect in the attack after linking him to several items left at the scene, FOX 4 reported.
Investigators reportedly found a hammer used in the alleged attack and duct tape, as well as other items authorities have not yet disclosed.

Being taken into custody immigration officers Duarte was arrested, according to a statement from the Department of Homeland Security (DHS).
Duarte is charged with aggravated kidnapping and assault causing bodily harm, according to DHS.
Federal officials also discovered that Duarte had entered the United States on an undercover trail. Tourist visa B2. in 2016 and was initially ordered to return to his home country of Mexico later that year.

In addition, Duarte has long history of skirmishes with law enforcement, including previous arrests for burglary and theft in 2024, the statement said. Following his 2024 arrest, the Biden administration released Duarte with notice to appear before an immigration judge in 2026, according to DHS.

“This criminal illegal alien should never have walked into our communities and attacked a woman jogging in the park with a hammer.” Assistant Secretary of State Tricia McLaughlin the statement says. “Following the arrest of this illegal alien in 2024, the Biden Administration has released this criminal illegal alien back into our communities. Under President Trump and Secretary Noem ICE arrested the detainee to ensure that this illegal criminal can never again prey on innocent women in our country.”
