Disney is advertising the hell out of a new product. Throne movie (Jared Leto be damned I guess), and the latest attempt pushes the update into the interior of Tesla cars.
Essentially, this update applies a Tron Ares skin to the car's built-in navigation and changes the interior RGB lighting to red.
What's remarkable about this is that it opens the door to more advertising in cars, which I don't think any of us want to see. We've already lost our TV screens and the internet to the advertising death spiral; Do we really need to put them in cars?

I'll also note that Tesla isn't calling this an advertisement, so it's not confirmed that any money changed hands for this, but if I had to guess, based on all the marketing Disney did around this movie, I'd expect it to be a paid campaign.
I'd also like to point out that this update doesn't seem to add any of the cool Tron light bike sounds or Nine Inch Nails music, so it's pretty half-baked in my opinion.
And of course, Tesla drivers received backlash for a variety of reasons. Some are outraged that Tesla is partnering with a woke company like Disney, while more sensible drivers are simply annoyed to see an ad in their car, according to Electrek.
The publication also expects that within a year Tesla will begin charging for the use of a car without advertising, which is quite ironic considering that Elon has repeatedly mentioned that Tesla cars are becoming more expensive.
