Tell us: have you ever had an allergic reaction caused by your clothes? | Health

Have you suffered any personal health consequences that you suspect may have been caused by your fashion purchases?

Research found that synthetic fabrics, especially those sold in fast fashion stores, are often treated with a number of dangerous chemicals, including dyes containing heavy metals such as lead, antimicrobial agents and anti-wrinkle agents, which can cause allergic reactions such as skin irritation or breathing problems in some people.

If you have had an allergic reaction or more serious health effects that you suspect was caused by your clothing, we want to hear from you. We want to know what clothing caused the effect, where you got it from, and whether you experienced any long-term effects. Did you have to seek medical help? Has your attitude towards buying clothes changed now?
