Another prodigy has joined Liverpool's first team squad.

Unlike his predecessor Jurgen Klopp, Arne Slot is not as liberal when it comes to giving young players a chance in the senior team. The slot prefers smaller lineups and less rotation.

We saw how tough and tight it was in his first season. Even Federico Chiesa barely got this opportunity. But in the second season, things start to change in a more positive direction.

The slot gave young players more chances. Rio Ngumoha was promoted to the first team and as a result even scored the winning goal against Newcastle United.

Trey Nyoni also regularly participates in first team practices. Meanwhile, players from the club's youth team also regularly participate in Liverpool's training sessions.

It was a project and effort organized from above. Liverpool are keen to use the club's academy players in the same way they did under Klopp.

So, at the beginning of the season, the office of academy director Alex Inglethorpe was moved closer to the Slot so that they could constantly communicate.

Particular attention is paid to ensuring that U21 players train regularly with the first team.

That's what happened on Friday afternoon as Liverpool prepared to play Manchester City on Sunday when another teenage prodigy was called up.

This time he was 18 years old. Lucas PittWHO It's Enfield spotted participation in the session.

Pitt, a Liverpool fan since childhood, has been at the academy for many years and enjoys a very high rating. This season he has been playing for the club's youth team, mainly starting games as a left-back.

But what's interesting is that he is predominantly a right-back, which is where he spent most of his academy career. Last season he was even used at times as a central defender for the U18 team, of which he was captain.

So, he's a pretty versatile defender, and that's probably one of the reasons Slott decided to move him into the first team, given that he doesn't really have that much depth in that department.

Whether he did enough to be called into the squad for the match against City remains to be seen. Liverpool know they have an important game coming up on Sunday, especially before the international break.

Still, this is a big promotion for Pitt and a huge opportunity for him to rub shoulders with the club's first-team stars. Hopefully this is one he can use to improve and continue his development.
