Taylor Swift Reflects on 2 Breakups She Experienced During ‘Eras Tour’ in Docuseries

Taylor Swift has shared unprecedented insight into the grief she experienced before meeting her now-fiancé Travis Kelce.

In episode 4 Disney+ documentary series “End of an Era” singer remembered the early days of my relationship with Kelsey and said she met him after two breakups during the first half of her Eras Tour.

Swifty will remember this Swift dated actor Joe Alwyn more than six and a half years ago reports of their separation began to emerge in April 2023. Swift has also been linked to the musician Matty Healy the same year.

In the docuseries, the 36-year-old called writing music a “form of therapy” and spoke about the dark atmosphere of her 2024 album The Tortured Poets Department, saying it was a “purging of everything bad” she felt in her life for two years.

“It was a really hard time in my life and the songs reflect that,” she said. “I feel like I'm not a person, I'm just a big conglomerate that no one considers a real person, especially the men I date. And throughout the whole process I just say, 'Nothing is working.' There is no one in the world for me.”

Later in the episode, Swift recalls going through two breakups in the first half of the season. “Eras Tour”.

“It’s actually a lot of breakups,” she said.

Despite her heartbreak, the singer said the tour helped support her.

“There were moments on this tour where the tour was the only thing that really kept me going in my life. But there were never moments on the tour where I thought, 'Oh, you know what? I want to leave the tour because the tour is hard.’ No, my personal life was hard,” Swift said.

For Swift, she said, the tour gave her purpose and helped her get out of bed.

“Tour allowed me to find purpose outside of the crap that was going on in my life,” she added. “Men will let you down. The Eras Tour will never let you down.”

In the same episode Swift talks about his experience meeting Kelsey and called their relationship “the greatest surprise of my life.”

The singer noted that in the past it was always difficult for her to combine her personal and professional life while on tour, but this time Kelsey made it easier.

“I don't think I'll ever meet a guy who has the same (career) trajectory. And I realized that this person in my life is perfect for me. You can have two passions coexist and they actually feed off each other,” she said.

Swift said she's grateful to Kelsey for taking on the challenge and living a “great life.”

“Travis is very comfortable, conceptually speaking, in the big life because he has it, and it's not a life he leads reluctantly. He's very happy with it,” she said. “I think at the end of the day, it's the way he treats me. It's very clear. And I think that's one of the reasons why the fans love him so much. Because that's the way it should be. You know, he's very sweet.”
