Synth Riders Is Bringing Its Beat on Switch Next Week

Feel the music in Synth Riders

Kluge Interactive has announced that Synth Riders will be coming to Nintendo Switch on December 15th, expanding the neon-beating cyberpunk experience to a wider audience. The developers have carefully adapted the award-winning music game for Switch, delivering the same high-energy on-rails experience while taking full advantage of the console's unique features. With improved controls and optimized modes, the Switch version retains the fast, fluid gameplay that has characterized Synth Riders on other platforms.

At launch, players will also have access to a number of music DLC packs featuring famous artists including Lady Gaga and Gorillaz. Notably, Lady Gaga's “The Dead Dance” makes its first appearance in a video game as part of the Lady Gaga Music Pack. These additions expand the game's soundtrack and offer players more variety.

Kluge Interactive founder and CEO Arturo Perez describes the Nintendo Switch as an ideal option for Synth Riders due to its portability. The team has tailored the experience specifically for the platform, including multiplayer showdowns that will make the game fun both at home and on the go.

In the game, players take on the role of a Synth Rider, competing in a futuristic music arena where timing and precision are of the essence. In Campaign mode, players compete against the villain XANDER, who threatens to seize control of a sprawling metropolis. Progress depends on destroying oncoming figures, riding on glowing rails and performing stylish hoverboard stunts, all synchronized to a dynamic electronic soundtrack.

The Basic Edition includes 28 songs and costs $29.99. The deluxe edition includes 42 songs, including Gorillaz and Lady Gaga packs, for $39.99. The Definitive Edition includes 64 songs and all six DLC packs for $69.99. All DLC packs are also available separately at individual prices.
