SwitchBot’s new MindClip is another device aiming to change how you take notes

Artificial Intelligence Note-Taking Devices quickly becoming the latest trend in the consumer technology space, with more manufacturers releasing products in unique form factors. Pebble recently joined the bandwagon with its Smart ring Index 01which allows users to not only take notes, but also set reminders, create calendar events, or perform special actions such as controlling music playback, taking photos, or launching a smart home command. SwitchBot now has joined the fight using AI MindClip.

Presented at the ongoing CES 2026 At the Las Vegas show, SwitchBot AI MindClip is very similar to Anker's Soundcore Work and offers similar functionality. It's essentially a portable microphone that attaches to your collar or lapel and allows you to take notes hands-free. SwitchBot speaks that MindClip can function as a “second brain”, allowing you to record voice notes, conversations or meetings into an audio database.

MindClip uses artificial intelligence to transform these notes into summaries or create to-do lists. You can even receive past discussions, reminders, or training materials through voice commands or ask questions related to recordings. These features require a subscription to SwitchBot's cloud AI service, although the company hasn't yet revealed everything that entails.

MindClip from SwitchBot already has serious competitors

The SwitchBot AI MindClip weighs 18 grams, making it slightly heavier than the Anker Soundcore Work. It supports more than 100 languages, which gives it an edge over Note by PlaudaPinwhich only supports 59 languages.

SwitchBot has not yet provided pricing or availability information for MindClip or its cloud AI subscription service. The company has also not revealed the full capabilities of the Contact, so we will have to wait until its official launch to see how it will compete with the competition.
