Nintendo announced that it had released Nintendo Switch 2 and updating the Nintendo Switch system to version 21.0.0.

- Symbols have been added above the software icons displayed in the HOME Menu to indicate whether the software is a physical or digital version.
- If you have multiple software downloads in progress, you now have the option to cancel all of them.
- If your console comes with a software download, a “Get Software” icon will now appear. It will be displayed if the system is connected to the Internet.

- You can still get the software by going to Nintendo Online Store directly from the HOME menu.
